Altum Capital acquires a stake in Seido, specialist in industrial 3D-printing solutions

Altum Capital has completed its participation in Seido. With this, the fund welcomes a new platform company in the additive manufacturing (3D printing) sector — a market in full transition from prototyping to industrial production.

Seido is a leading distributor of industrial 3D-printing solutions in the Benelux, France and the Nordics, and the exclusive distributor of Stratasys. The company offers a total solution: alongside the sale, rental and maintenance of 3D printers, this includes full-service contracts, software solutions, training and its own production of 3D-printed components through Seido Solutions. In this way, Seido serves high-tech segments such as automotive, aerospace, the medical and dental sector, industry and defence.

The company is led by a driven and complementary entrepreneurial team and employs around twenty people, with a strong commercial and technical presence across several countries. The founders remain on board and, together with Altum Capital, are focusing on further international expansion and professionalisation of the organisation.

“Seido combines a strong position in a growing market with a genuine entrepreneurial mindset. Together with the team, we want to build on that strong foundation to become a larger, international player.”
